Finally, it all made sense!
Not only were some of my duas vague at best, but many times I made dua without doing my part.

- Robotically rattling off your duas like a repetitive ‘to-do’ list without even paying attention to what you’re asking for
- Being distracted when asking Allah for what you want - your tongue is saying one thing, but your mind is elsewhere

Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous’

This is how Allah SWT introduced Himself to the Prophet SAW for the first time in Surah Al-Alaq - as Al-Karim or The Most Generous!
What worry or fear do I need to have of my Lord who introduces Himself as The Most Generous?
None!
It was at this point that EVERYTHING changed for me!
Allah says in a Hadith Qudsi that:
‘I am as my servant thinks of me’
I started making dua that was a reflection of who Allah is, and not from my limited and flawed view of the world.
My whole perspective shifted:
